Program Levels & Instruction Options

Beginner Classes

Beginner classes are designed for students who are new to an art form or building foundational skills. Instruction focuses on basic techniques, vocabulary, creativity, and confidence in a supportive group setting. No prior experience is required, and students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and discover their interests.

Intermediate Classes

Intermediate classes are for students who have some prior experience and are ready to grow in skill and expression. These classes build on foundational techniques while introducing more complex concepts, performance skills, and creative challenges. Students begin to develop their personal style while working collaboratively with peers.

Advanced Classes

Advanced classes are designed for students with strong skills who are ready for deeper study, refinement, and artistic excellence. Instruction emphasizes mastery, discipline, creativity, and leadership, with opportunities for performance, portfolio development, and mentorship from professional artists. Placement may be based on experience or instructor recommendation.

Private Lessons

Grace Place Hawai'i also offers individual private lessons in all subject areas, providing one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s goals, pace, and learning style. Private lessons are ideal for students seeking focused skill development, personalized feedback, or flexible scheduling. Lesson times and locations are arranged at convenient sites across Windward Oʻahu to best meet family needs.

Creative Arts Camps

In addition to our weekly classes and lessons, Grace Place Hawaii offers Creative Arts Camps during Spring Break, Summer Break, and Fall Break, following the Hawaiʻi Department of Education (HIDOE) calendar. Camps provide immersive, hands-on experiences where students explore multiple art forms, collaborate with peers, and grow creatively in a fun, engaging environment. Camps are open to students of varying experience levels and are a great way to try new disciplines or deepen existing skills.

All Grace Place Hawaii programs are taught by professional artists and educators who are passionate about mentoring young people. Classes are offered at multiple locations across Windward Oʻahu and scheduled at times convenient for families. Whether through group classes, private lessons, or seasonal camps, our goal is to help students discover their talents, grow in confidence, and experience the joy of creative expression.
